Sister Cities of Houston invites all of Houston's young artists to compete in Houston's Youth Talent Showcase for Artists.

This year's theme is “United in Hope.”

Houston's art winners will be offered the opportunity to have their piece sponsored by Sister Cities of Houston at the Sister Cities International Young Artists and Authors Showcase (YAAS).

Works must be submitted to Kham Vargus at kvargus@sistercitieshouston.org by 5:00 PM CT on Friday, April 16, 2021.

Submission Requirements:

Young Artists:

• 13-18 years old

• 2-Dimensional work (24” x 36” maximum)

• Any medium except photography

Young Authors:

• Students 13-18 years old

• Poems of no more than 200 words

• Essays of no more than 500 words

Young Filmmakers:

• Students 13-22 years old

• Work can be a documentary, drama, or animation

• No longer than 10 minutes

Young Photographers:

• Students 13-22 years old

• Work can be black & white or color
