Japan Festival Houston is almost here, and we need your help preparing one of Hermann Park’s most treasured spaces to welcome thousands of festival visitors!

Join the Japan-America Society of Houston (JASH) and Hermann Park Conservancy for a special volunteer cleanup in the Japanese Garden on Saturday, September 5.

Together, we will lend a hand with garden beautification as we get this Houston landmark ready for Japan Festival Houston 2026, taking place September 12–13.

Whether you are a longtime JASH volunteer or looking for a new way to give back, we hope you’ll join us for a morning of community, teamwork, and care for the Japanese Garden.

Note: Hermann Park Conservancy has transitioned to an online platform where volunteers can register, sign waivers, and review the volunteer guidelines. We request that everyone participating in the volunteer event register through the link provided below. You will also find below a link to an instruction guide to help navigate the website as well!

Tools & instructions will be provided by the Hermann Park Conservancy staff.  Volunteers are encouraged to bring your own gloves, individual water bottles, sunscreen, and insect repellent, if needed.
