JASH Japanese Language Program Session IV Virtual Course Consent and Acknowledgment

In consideration of the right to participate in the Japan-America Society of Houston (JASH) Japanese Language Program Session III online classes (Classes), the Participant (and, if the Participant is a minor, his or her parent) acknowledge and agree to:

I hereby agree to:

Abide by all rules and regulations established by JASH as set forth in the JASH Japanese Language Program Overview and General Policies.

I hereby agree to:

Grant to JASH, for any purpose connected with promoting the purpose and goals of the Classes, not for commercial exploitation, the right to use the Participant's name, voice, and likeness in any writings, photographs, films, and recordings, of the Participant while he or she is participating in the Classes, and any biographical information submitted by the Participant to JASH, and to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute the same.

I hereby agree to:

Not record activity in the Classes without the express permission of the instructor responsible for teaching the Classes.  Authorized Participant-initiated recordings must be used only for the education of the Participants enrolled in the initiating Participant’s class during the period in which the student is enrolled in the Classes. In addition, an authorized Participant-initiated recording must not be made available to anyone outside of the Participants enrolled in the class in any fashion, including posting online or through other media without the express written consent of the instructor responsible for the Classes or the cognizant JASH administrator.

I hereby agree to:

Waive and release from liability JASH, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives and agents, and other individuals from organizations that participate in the planning and execution of the Classes.

Take a virtual course. While every reasonable effort is made by JASH to prevent exposure to inappropriate online content when participating in Classes, it is not possible to completely eliminate the risk of such exposure.
